Dean has 31 years of experience in warehousing and transportation. He has held roles ranging from warehouse selector, class A driver, sales account executive, transportation manager, and general manager, as well as his current role as senior manager of training. Dean is an active safe driver trainer certified through the NSC as well as a previous trainer using the Smith System. He works with more than 100 facilities training over 6,000 drivers to help make roadways safer.

Andrew Wren is a Safety and Health Manager for Vulcan Materials, where he has worked for 14 years. Over the last 7 years, Andrew has managed the safety and health program for Vulcan’s ready mix fleet in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York. Andrew’s programs impact approximately 800 drivers across this region.


Noah Budnick
Executive Director
Together for Safer Roads

Noah Budnick leads Together for Safer Roads’ work to make businesses active participants in the United Nations’ Decade of Action for Road Safety, local Vision Zero initiatives and similarly ambitious road safety campaigns, including ending distracted driving. TSR is on the steering committee of the National Distracted Driving Coalition along with the NTSB, the Kiefer Foundation and others. Noah is responsible for overseeing the organization’s strategic direction on behalf of TSR’s Governing Board and membership, growing the organization’s network and ensuring programs are delivered in support of stakeholders. TSR empowers commercial road users, data analysts and technology providers to make any community safer. The organization works in three program areas: safer cities (accelerating progress on the ground), safer fleets and the Safer Roads Studio (breakthrough technology and data).

Noah led the introduction of Vision Zero to the United States, and he worked on the first Vision Zero Action Plan there — in New York City. Prior to joining Together for Safer Roads, Noah held leadership positions at Transportation Alternatives in New York, the San Francisco BIcycle Coalition, the Brooklyn Greenway Initiative and the national Alliance for Biking & Walking. In the private sector, Noah worked to establish Zendrive as a leader in insurtech and leverage the insurance industry’s strengths to save lives on our roads.
